Synchronicity and a New Science of Consciousness

in Frenchman's Cove, Jamaica
13 February 2012 - 17 February 2012

Venue: Frenchman's Cove, Jamaica

The Frenchman's Cove Experience is unlike any other. It is a unique setting for a remarkable combination of conference and recreation in an unspoilt area near Port Antonio, Jamaica.

Our ideas about the relationship between consciousness and the brain, between inner and outer, are due for a radical overhaul. Science is now demonstrating the deep interconnectedness implied by quantum entanglement and the web of life, but has not yet drawn these conclusions about the nature of consciousness. This seminar will take synchronicity as a starting point for a new understanding of the hermetic axiom ‘As above, so below’ to mean ‘as within, so without’ in the unfolding patterns of our lives. Among the topics covered will be:

  • New models for a science of consciousness
  • The experience of cosmic consciousness
  • Elements of a new worldview
  • The structure and function of the mind
  • Intuition and ways of knowing
  • The causal nature of imagination and thought
  • Creative patterns of personal growth
  • Synchronicity and the law of attraction
  • Blueprints for life - aligning to your deeper purpose
  • Changing our neural pathway patterns
  • The crucial role of faith and belief

About Frenchman's Cove

Frenchman's Cove  is a private estate in an unspoilt part of the north east coast of Jamaica.  It consists of 45 acres of rolling landscape with tropical trees and plants.  A small river runs through the grounds down to its own sheltered white  sandy beach.  Dotted around the site are 17 spacious and secluded houses that sleep between two and six, plus a central building, the ‘Great House’, sleeping up to 24.  Houses  have a large sitting area, one or two bedrooms, en suite bathroom and a small kitchen.  Many overlook the water and all have patios for sitting out.  The weather in March is usually warm and sunny (25 degrees) with heavy showers and sea temprature is about 23 degrees.

Frenchmans Cove was a favourite of Hollywood celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton  in the 1950s and 1960s.  It was where Ian Fleming wrote the first James Bond adventure and featured in the film Dr No.  However, its present owner, Grainger Weston, developed the resort to provide maximum benefit to the local population and a venue for forward looking conferences.

Grainger has been a great supporter of the Scientific and Medical Network and the organisors are indebted to him for all his help, encouragement and financial support.  The SMN ran several conferences at Frenchman's Cove between 1999 and 2001.
