Beyond the Brain V Conference

Healing, Prayer & Forgiveness:
Frontiers in Consciousness Research and Applied Spirituality

21st - 24th August 2003
King's School, Canterbury, England

The Fifth Beyond the Brain conference was held in conjunction with the Spirituality & Psychiatry Group of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the Transpersonal Section of the British Psychological Society

In 2003 our Beyond the Brain conference moved to the cathedral city of Canterbury. Our theme took up recent research on forgiveness, and on distant healing and prayer. Such research has very practical implications when applied to health and indeed to areas of conflict on the planet.

Beyond the Brain V built on previous conferences addressing the nature of consciousness by addressing areas of research that have a practical application in our current world situation. The events of the previous two years demonstrated the need for new thinking, values and practice if we are to create a viable human future based on mutual respect and esteem, where the intuitive heart is as important as the rational head.
