St. John's College, Cambridge was attended by 310 people and stretched the limits of current scientific conferences on consciousness beyond the usual preocupations with cognitive psychology, artificial intelligence and neurophysiology to look at areas of research which point to human consciousness transcending the material limitations of the brain. The conference was supported by the Lifebridge Foundation and the Fetzer Institute.
