The following books, and other items, are available from the SMN Office. Cheques, in pounds Sterling or Euros should be made payable to ‘Scientific and Medical Network’. Credit card payment also accepted (VISA or MasterCard).
These one-off titles are available for sale at discounted rates. The books may be copies that we have had for review, so they are new (N), or they may be second hand titles that have been donated by members (SH). If you are interested in purchasing any of these titles, please contact the office first, via email, to reserve it. Once you receive confirmation from us then payment by either cheque or credit card will need to follow within five working days.

This book looks at the new field of acoustic archaeology - revealing the rich sound-world in which ancient people lived. This new approach to investigating ancient sites is reconstructing a vanished aspect of the past, often using computer modelling and sophisticated equipment to calculate frequencies and resonances, and has demonstrated that stone-built chambers, temples and even caves were deliberately constructed or used in ways that would enhance the ritual sounds produced within them.
